How is it almost May?

Last week it was gloomy here in So. Cal all week. In my opinion every second of the gloom was glorious. I'm a rainy weather kinda girl and crave the gloom. Saturday the rain came and Y'all I wore a beanie to dinner with my husband. In April. It was wonderful. I loved it.

But low & behold Sunday..
Excuse the boobs. Naturally sometimes the cleavage gets a little out of control. 


 JT was not the biggest fan of my flopsy hat. He would try to change lanes while we were driving, and tell me he couldn't see the side mirrors because my hat was too big. Clearly he doesn't understand the necessity of a flopsy hat, for a day by the pool.

He may or may not kill me for posting this photo. But seriously I love this man. He is the best. Plus he's hot. Mercy.
Weekends have become our jam in the Tillery household. We work hard during the week eating clean, working out, and serving diligently at our jobs. So on the weekend, we eat out, we sleep in and we spend time laughing together and enjoying one another's company.

People, let me just tell you. Marriage is amaze. This season has brought so much joy, so much laughter and such a deep sense of gratitude. If you know our story, you will understand how sweet this season truly has been for us. The growth, blessings and the peace that the Lord has brought us are too much for me. I am in awe of all the Lord has done and I am so extremely grateful.

Anyways, its a busy weekend for us!!
My Nonnie is turning 80! Holy Smoke! We are excited to celebrate her! But before we party (country club style.. aka Nonnie style) I have some dear ones who will graduate college and begin a new step in this journey called life, and I am so excited to celebrate with them!

Not Pregnant

There are moments you wait for your whole life. Ones that seem to pause all of time for just a brief second, when all is right with the world.  This post is not one about one of them. A few weeks ago I thought that I was pregnant.  I had some of the symptoms, and was late. I remember telling Jonny, "babe, I think I might be pregnant." He's so optimistic. "No, you can't be. Thursday Morning Walks

For the past year or so I have walked on thursday mornings with friends. Two beauties in particular who walk the 1.72 miles around the block with me. We meet around 7 in the morning so that we can still have time to get ready for work and the day ahead. Usually we text each other the night before and make sure that we are still on for the next morning, to make sure that we aren't sick or need extra sleep due to the craziness of life. I've come to find that these Thursday mornings are precious to me. As the sun creeps through the trees, and wind gently blows in our faces we connect in a way that we may not have if we didn't wake before the sunrise to meet each other and walk. The girls I walk with, I've known for years. I've known them as young women entering college. I've mentored them, they've mentored me. A 3 Year Old Ring

A few years ago on January 26, it was raining. It was cold and blustery. I remember wanting to wear a dress to a combined birthday party for my husband and nephew.  However due to the rain, I had to wear jeans & a coral sweater. I was frustrated, but #life. I remember showing up and being disappointing that it wasn't a surprise engagement party. I remember my friend said " Not everything is about you." The party was fun! If you know the Tillery's you know they go big for parties! Catered food, a live band, heck even a photographer to capture every bite of cake my nephew puts in his mouth. The rain had kept most of us inside, or inside my father in law's wine cave. Yes, you read right, he has a cave full of wine- of course there are other things, but mostly wine.
