A Glorious Weekend
Friday afternoon I wasn't feeling so hot. I called into work around 3pm and told them if they needed me, I was posted up in the fetal position on my couch praying away stomach pains. (For those of you thinking it.... No. I am not pregnant)
I had given Jonny grief the night before about how we never see each other & how I wish he did more for me and blah.. blah.. blah. So he decided to plan a night out to cure his complaining wife. He had told me around the time I was still in the fetal position, that he had made reservations at a restaurant and wanted to know if he should cancel them. Just my luck right? Oh Lord, you have such a sense of humor. So I remained in the fetal position and waited till he got home, and decided I could survive to make our 1st ever planned reservation:
As the waitress showed us our seats, I was picking my jaw up off the floor.
No one has ever done something like this for me before, and Jonny (God bless him) is learning the beauty of reservations :)
I felt like a Queen the whole night. All four courses were divine, and I am pretty sure I was floating on clouds the whole way home. My man sure knows how to make me feel special :)
Saturday morning was the first morning since New years that we had gotten the chance to sleep in and wake up beside each other. The month of January is still a blur to me, we both worked a lot and had so much going on, I am just grateful its over. So naturally since most every morning I wake up alone since Jonny is already at work, I did what any girl would do when she wakes up beside her husband and BUGS THE CRAP OUT OF HIM. " Can we snuggle, Can we watch a movie, can we... CAN WE GO TO KRISPY KREME????" I was a little over bearing I'm sure, but in my defense there was someone to talk to, and someone to laugh with and snuggle. Since this is so rare, I took every advantage, and we left a few minutes later to go to Krispy Kreme. He loves me :)
Also, you should know this about me. I coupon. Not like it's a hobby, but if I have a coupon for some place, you better believe we are going! I just so happened to have a buy a dozen, get a dozen FREE coupon (that expired THAT DAY) at Krispy Kreme. So we decided to call up Jonny's brother who just so happens to love these particular donuts and told him we got him some. He was at the mall with his family, so we met him there.
Meet Walker, the cutest, funniest, smartest 4 year old we know.
Walker is still learning the beauty of smiling at the camera, but boy do I love that kid.
We enjoyed a Saturday night in and we watched Fury. While a great movie, I still can't get used to the special effects that make it look like the leg that was just shot by the german's, is going to come out from the screen and hit me in the face. Nonetheless, a good movie :)
Sunday morning was an amazing morning at Sandals Church. Our pastor has been guiding us through prayer. How to pray, how to pray for others, when to pray etc. It's been an amazing series and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Yesterday at the end of the sermon, one of our pastor's asked people who needed prayer to stand. Those around them who didn't stand were to surround those standing and pray for them. It was an incredibly moving moment. I cried at the greatness of our God. He is so faithful and so wonderful to provide us with so much more than we need. I am continually amazed by His sovereignty and will live my life for Him.
The superbowl was a whole other story, that I am sure at dinner tonight Jonny will bring up (again) his utter amazement at the Seahawks to call such a play, and to encroach at such a time as this. (Insert the Bible story Esther)
Anyways. I enjoyed wearing my hat (from last year.. no one can count that many roman numerals anyway... unless your from Rome, and I don't know any of the likes, so I was good) and yelling like Richard Sherman. It was a wonderful, restful weekend!

Jonny bought our nephew a rubber band gun.
Also, please excuse the unnecessary (Photoshopped) boobs in the background. Not necessarily the best photo I have ever taken. (this is normally where I would rant about Victoria secret and the fake tans & photo shop because after almost 10 years of buying their bra's, I still look nothing like the advertisement... but I digress) Walker is still learning the beauty of smiling at the camera, but boy do I love that kid.
